BBC Scotland "2005 Beechgrove Garden Community Project" |

The Friends were delighted to be involved, along with the Stonehaven Horizon Group, in a Beechgrove Garden Community Project this summer. Mary Mitchell, Chairperson of the Friends, had written to the BBC early in the Spring of 2005 to ask if the ground in front of the Outdoor Pool could be considered for one of their community projects. As it happened, the Stonehaven Horizon Group had also written to the programme requesting support. The Beechgrove Garden Team came back with the idea of doing both projects, as a combined programme. The Stonehaven Horizon Project involved landscaping an area near the harbour next to the Bay Walk, and our project was a make over on the area immediately in front of the Pool.
The Programme: March - April - planning. May - July - Hands on - it is the actual doing the project. July - Filming August - Broadcast
